Marc Cross Brands™ — London & Global
Brand Strategy for Hospitality, F&B and Lifestyle Brands
Positioning, Purpose and Direction
I help ambitious founders define what their brand stands for, who it speaks to and where it can win. Built on 15 years of brand strategy experience across London and the Gulf, every project is led personally, focused on positioning that drives long term commercial growth.
What Brand Strategy Really Means
A logo might catch the eye, but strategy is what makes people care.
Brand strategy is the thinking that shapes everything your business does. It defines your purpose, sharpens your positioning and clarifies how your brand connects with the right audience. For hospitality, F&B and lifestyle brands competing in crowded markets, a clear strategy is the difference between blending in and being chosen. It guides your identity, your messaging, your customer experience and the decisions you make as you grow.
1. Brand Foundations
Every strong brand starts with strong foundations. This stage defines your purpose and direction, setting the principles that guide every decision you make. Through clear objective setting, mission, vision and values, strategic pillars and a unifying brand promise, I build the framework that keeps your business focused and consistent.
When you have clarity on what you stand for and why you exist, your team gains alignment and your audience sees authenticity. These essentials are the building blocks that allow your brand to grow with confidence and credibility, whether you are launching a new restaurant, scaling a hospitality group or refreshing an established lifestyle brand.
2. Market & Audience
Knowing where you stand and who you are speaking to is essential for any brand that wants to resonate. Through detailed market and competitor analysis, audience personas and a clear positioning and value proposition, I identify the space your brand can credibly own.
This work uncovers not just what makes your brand different, but why that difference matters to the people you want to reach. The result is sharper messaging, stronger engagement and a brand position that feels both relevant and distinctive in a competitive hospitality, F&B or lifestyle market.
3. Messaging & Storytelling
Your brand comes to life through the way it speaks and connects with people. I define your tone of voice and personality, develop a messaging framework that works across every channel, and shape a storytelling approach that creates emotional connection.
From internal alignment tools to tactical rollout planning, I make sure your brand story is consistent, clear and memorable at every touchpoint. Whether it appears on your website, in a social campaign or across an in-store experience, your audience will know exactly who you are and why they should care.

FAQs
I am always happy to talk through the brand strategy process on an introductory call. In the meantime, here are answers to the questions I am asked most often.
-
Collaboration is essential to building a brand that genuinely resonates. You will be involved at every stage, sharing feedback and insight so the final strategy reflects your vision, your knowledge of the business and your ambition for it.
-
Communication is consistent throughout the project. We will have regular check ins, and I am always available between sessions to share updates, talk through feedback or answer questions.
-
Yes. Once the brand strategy is presented, there is dedicated time for feedback and discussion. This collaborative stage allows us to refine the thinking together and make sure the final direction aligns with your vision and goals.
-
You do not need to prepare a detailed brief. I guide the process through structured questioning, usually starting with key questions during our discovery call so we capture clear, instinctive responses that reflect the brand honestly. If you have existing brand materials or background context, feel free to share them, but they are not essential to get started.
-
Most brand strategy projects take between two and four weeks, depending on the depth of engagement and how quickly feedback and information come through. I always set out a clear timeline and milestones at the start so everything stays on track.
-
Payments are usually structured in two equal instalments of 50 percent. The first instalment is required to begin the work, with the balance due on completion. For larger or longer engagements, I am happy to agree a payment plan that suits the scope of your project.
