Designed for high-net-worth individuals seeking privacy, peace, and natural connection, the brand identity was shaped to express serenity, exclusivity, and sustainability in one of West Africa’s most exciting emerging markets.

Strategic Naming Inspired by Peace and Place

The name ‘Amani’ - derived from the Swahili word for peace - became the conceptual anchor for the brand. It captures the spirit of calm, retreat, and respectful coexistence with the land. The name informed every aspect of the visual identity, from tone to symbol, grounding the brand in meaning that would resonate both locally and globally.

A Visual Identity Grounded in Nature and Elegance

The visual identity was developed to reflect the landscape and values of the development - earthy tones, fluid forms, and refined typography come together to create a calm, elevated aesthetic. A bespoke icon inspired by Swahili peace symbols was created to evoke balance and movement, echoing the resort’s emphasis on tranquillity and sustainability.

23 by Amani - A Sub-Brand Symbolising Life and Legacy

For the residential component, a complementary sub-brand, 23 by Amani, was developed. Its name and symbol reference the 23 pairs of chromosomes found in human DNA - representing growth, family, and a deep-rooted connection to life. The visual style mirrors the main brand while offering a distinct identity for two exclusive properties that prioritise serenity and design integrity.
