Global Academy International - Strategic Rebrand for a Legacy School Group Expanding into Saudi Arabia

As part of Klinical’s ongoing partnership with international franchise advisors Presman & Colard, this project involved leading the full brand transformation of Global Academy International - a well-established network of schools in Qatar preparing for international expansion, beginning with Saudi Arabia. The objective was clear: reposition the organisation from a successful local group into a unified, internationally recognised education brand capable of scaling through franchising.

Brand Strategy & Positioning

The strategy began by aligning the brand with its long-term ambition to grow into a connected, globally-minded education network. Through a series of founder-led discovery sessions, the team helped clarify the brand’s mission, vision, and values - reframing its positioning around academic rigour, legacy, and a commitment to shaping future-ready students. This work served as the foundation for both franchise development and broader audience engagement.

Strategic Renaming for Global Relevance

A key recommendation from the strategy phase was to evolve the existing name to better reflect the brand’s scale and ambition. The new name - GAIN (Global Academy International Network) - was introduced to support international recall and underscore the brand’s transition from a local school group to a globally-minded institution.

Visual Identity Rooted in Heritage and Growth

The visual identity was refined to preserve the trust and recognition built over years while introducing a more contemporary presence. Legacy elements - such as the Feather Quill and Shield - were retained but modernised within a refreshed crest system. A confident new colour palette and type system were introduced to appeal to both local and international audiences, supported by clear brand guidelines to ensure consistency across marketing, signage, and communications.

Outcome

With a clear strategy, updated name, and revitalised visual identity, GAIN is now positioned for meaningful growth across Saudi Arabia and beyond. The brand now communicates its global vision with clarity and credibility - empowering the next chapter of its educational legacy.
